Advanced Games Development

This was a very enjoyable project, I was able to develop lots of new skills from this project.

It was the first time I had worked in a group to create a full game and it was a very exciting experience to see our game come together.

I along with another programmer spent a long time working on the engine, especially the design which allowed almost complete level changes with minimal technical knowledge, so future expansion was easier and required less programmer time so we could keep expanding the game.

In general but some of my own responsibilities include:

  • The middleware created for the designers along with full documentation for the non-technical
  • The games particle & weapons framework
  • Assisting in the overall design of the black boxed architecture
  • Calculating and implementing the Spawn patterns algorithms
  • Programming the Menu and Hanger View
  • Implementing the Cel Shader
  • Helping to make sure all components are Black Boxed for ease of re-use in future projects
